Hobonichi Techo Cover / A5 / Folio: Ocean Blue

A thin, light cloth cover in deep ocean blue from the Folio series. The book slides into sleeves at the front and back, so the cover stays slim and minimal. The spine reads "YOU WRITE. YOU DRAW." alongside a small sailing ship.

An elastic band with a natural leather patch stamped "HANDWRITE" keeps the techo closed in your bag and holds a thicker pen, with a second elastic loop for a slimmer one.

About Hobonichi Techo

Hobonichi Techo was created in 2002 by Shigesato Itoi — the influential Japanese copywriter, creative director, and writer of the Nintendo/EarthBound “Mother” game series — as an extension of his long-running web magazine Hobo Nikkan Itoi Shinbun (“Almost Daily Itoi News”), which has published online since 1998. It is produced in Japan by Hobonichi Co., Ltd.

The planner is built around ultra-thin, famously smooth Tomoe River paper, prized by fountain pen users worldwide for its ink-friendliness and near-zero bleed-through. Each year Hobonichi releases a new lineup of cover designs and collaborations with Japanese and international artists, designers, and brands — a roster that has grown into one of the most anticipated and collected release calendars in stationery. Designs regularly sell out within days of launch.
