A cover inspired by Virginia Lee Burton’s famous picture book "The Little House". Both the front of the cover and the spine have a design based on the clear, sky blue used in the original picture book cover. The cover interior is a mint green, and the pocket on the right side depicts a spring scene of children playing among the beautifully blooming apple blossoms. It has "butterfly stopper" pen holders, which also function as a clasp to keep the cover shut.

About Hobonichi Techo

Hobonichi Techo was created in 2002 by Shigesato Itoi — the influential Japanese copywriter, creative director, and writer of the Nintendo/EarthBound “Mother” game series — as an extension of his long-running web magazine Hobo Nikkan Itoi Shinbun (“Almost Daily Itoi News”), which has published online since 1998. It is produced in Japan by Hobonichi Co., Ltd.

The planner is built around ultra-thin, famously smooth Tomoe River paper, prized by fountain pen users worldwide for its ink-friendliness and near-zero bleed-through.
