Iris Garden Cards / Set of 6
These multicolored gems are often among the first to break through the thawing soil. Named for the Greek goddess of the rainbow, irises represent the connection between earth and the heavens. According to The Language of Flowers, the iris is the distillation of a message, a conduit of communication, unity, and compassion.
Early harbingers of spring, daffodils transform previously colorless landscapes with otherworldly yellow or white flowers. Symbolizing both fertility and death, the flower is sacred to Hades, and was said to grow along the banks of the river Styx in the Underworld.

About Open Sea
Open Sea is a women-owned creative studio based in Brooklyn, founded in 2015 by Melissa Constandse. Originally inspired by the crystal-clear blue shores of the Mexican Caribbean, the studio's stationery and paper goods draw on the occult, the Victorian era, esoteric traditions, naturalist art, and the treasures of the plant and animal kingdom. Each piece is designed with intention, as a tribute to long-lost traditions and the beauty of the natural world. Every card is designed and printed in New York.
