Kakimori Copper Dip Nib

This versatile dip pen nib is both gorgeous and practical. Its full, cylindrical shape is reminiscent of a glass dip pen and allows you to tilt the nib for a variety of line widths. It can even be rotated at different angles to be used like a paintbrush! The tip is rounded and polished for a smooth writing experience, while the grooves hold enough ink to fill a postcard in a single dip. Use it with a Kakimori Nib Holder. Made in Japan.

Care:

Strong impact to the precision-made nib may compromise ink flow.
To prevent the build-up of dry ink in the grooves, rinse frequently in water during use.
To remove stubborn dry ink, gently scrub in water with a soft toothbrush.
If using detergent, a pH neutral detergent is recommended. Avoid alkaline detergents as they will damage the surface.

Notes:

This nib is made from raw copper, which has a noticeable metallic scent that can transfer to the user's hand for a short time after use. The copper will deepen in color and develop a unique patina as you use it.
To prevent corrosion, we recommend removing the nib from the nib holder and cleaning it after each use, being sure to dry it thoroughly afterwards.
