Kakimori Nib Holder / Aizome

This elegant nib holder was carefully designed for both comfort and longevity. Its 7-inch length mimics the size of a traditional wooden pencil, while the tapered body makes it easy to hold for long writing sessions. It features double rubber rings at the tip that help prevent the nibs shifting: a smaller inner ring to hold smaller round nibs, and a larger outer ring to hold regular nibs.

This nib holder is made of Japanese cherry wood and finished with aizome, a traditional indigo dying technique. The result is a matte finish that highlights the wood's natural grain pattern. Over time, the dark blue finish will fade to a lighter indigo color.

Packaged in a triangular Kakimori gift box. Made in Japan.
