One of a set of three prints by Utagawa Hiroshige (1797-1858), entitled 'New Edition of Shadow Shapes' (c.1842). Hiroshige was one of the last masters of the Japanese 'ukiyo-e' style and a great influence on Western painters such as Van Gogh. Courtesy Minneapolis Institue of Art. 170mm x 120mm (6 3/4" x 4 3/4"). Blank inside. Printed with vegetable-based inks on a carbon-neutral press using 100% recycled carbon-neutral paper. Individually wrapped in a compostable bag with a 120gsm recycled kraft envelope.
